Grid computing is a rigorous technique that promotes user newlinecollaboration via the coordinated sharing of distributed resources to tackle newlinevarious large scale problems owing to the wide area distribution of the Grid newlineIn reality Grid computing becomes a major problem owing to the challenges newlinein scheduling security issues protocol design access control and newlineimplementation models newlineThe Grid Scheduling Problem GSP is found in the execution of newlinePerformancedriven large scale applications In particular scheduling newlinescientific workflow applications such as the mass spectrometric analysis in newline3D rendering computations data mining jobs high energy physics newlineexperiments and other applications having a very large data to compute is of newlinekey concern In general the Grid Scheduling Problem is NPcomplete newlineIn this thesis we have solved the GSP using scientific workflows in newlineWired and Wireless Grids We have proposed various scheduling algorithms newlinewith simultaneous optimization of several incommensurable objectives often newlinecompeting with other objectives to solve the GSP newline newline
