dc.description.abstract | Everything in the universe- Humans, animals, plants, mountain peaks, newlinerivers even atoms, changes over time. The procedure is actually known as aging. newlineGrowing old is an indisputable truth which cannot be changed, stopped or even delayed, newlinein spite of utmost desire of human beings to remain young, charming and full of strength newlineforever. The cycle of growing old can be managed up to a certain level by working on newlinemanipulation of genetics pathways and biochemical connections attached to human newlinehealth. Growing age is coupled with a significant amount that causes changes in the newlinecomposition of body. Decline in lean body mass have been well distinguished and result newlineprimarily from reduction in masses of skeletal muscles. Human body is designed for newlinemovement. Regular exercise helps in improving the strength of muscles around the joints, improves the flexibility of muscles, removes stiffness, shapes the body, improves Basal Metabolic Rate and over all gives more energy to the body. With the progression in age some problems gets associated easily like low bone density, high blood pressure, newlinediabetes, heart diseases, constipation arthritis etc, Now researches have revealed that newlineregular exercise can make you immune against all these common problems of old age. newlineUsing free weights, exercise machines, Tera tubes, elastic bands, resistance training newlinedevelops and strengthens muscles and increases bone mineral density. newline newlineTotal Fifty (N=50) subjects (Men-25, Women-25) of age ranging 42-52 newlinewere selected randomly for the study. All the subjects were selected from Gwalior newlineMadhya Pradesh, India. The variables selected for the study were Bone Mineral Density, newlineWeight, BMI, BMR, Fat Percentage and Lean Mass. Pre data was collected by newlineadministering the respective tests such as DEXA Scan was used to analyse Bone Mineral Density of the subjects and Tanita Body Composition Analyser was used to collect data of Body Composition variables i.e. Weight, BMI, BMR, Fat Percentage and Lean Mass. | |
