Abstract: The present thesis consists of study of a class of boundary layer problems in non-Newtonian Casson fluid with heat and mass transfer effects. The work consists in formulating the problems mathematically, writing down the equations that describe the flow field, identifying the relevant parameters that influence the flow field variables like velocity, temperature and concentration. Making use of similarity transformations the governing partial differential equations have been converted into ordinary differential equations and then Keller Box method has been applied to obtain numerical solutions of the problems under study. MATLAB programs are written and executed on a computer. It is hearting to note that the results by this method are in good agreement with the results available in literature. Details are given at the appropriate places. newline
