Homotopy analysis to heat and mass transfer of mhd viscous fluids

Abstract

During the last five decades, there has been tremendous advancement in newlinecomputation techniques and the use of computer oriented numerical algorithms for the newlinesolution of highly complicated non-linear mathematical problems. The present thesis newlineconsists of a study of a class of boundary layer problems in magneto hydrodynamic newlineviscous fluid flows. Also importance has been given to the non-Newtonian viscoelastic newlinefluid of Walter s liquid B type. The work consists in formulating the problems newlinemathematically, writing down the equations that describe the flow field, identifying the newlinerelevant parameters that influence the flow field variables like velocity and temperature. newlineMaking use of similarity transformations the governing partial differential equations newlinehave been converted to ordinary differential equations and the Homotopy Analysis newlineMethod(HAM) has been applied to obtain analytical solutions of the problems under newlinestudy. newline
