Abstract: A Communication network is a channel of flow for transferring information from newlineone end to another end. This is composed of nodes and links between nodes. Links are newlineused to send information from one node to another node and the information is measured newlinein bits which are sent in packets. In addition to nodes and links, a communication newlinenetwork consists of buffers, routers, transmitters, splitters, switches and a mechanism for newlineactive flow control. In a communication network, flow of traffic share multiple types of newlineresources such as bandwidth, buffers, and router processors. newlineWilliam Cooke and Charles Wheatstone in 1839 inaugurated the commercial newlinetelegraph service and that was the first technology to serve the transmission of newlineinformation from the physical movement of people. Later, 1896 Guglielmo Marconi newlineintroduced wireless signaling for transmission of information from one place to another. newline A mathematical theory of Communication by Shockley, Barddeen and Brattain was the newlinefoundation for communication satellites and the beginning of digital and data newlinecommunications. newlineMany practical problems arising in real world applications, mainly in the fields of newlinecomputer communication, wireless communication, satellite communication, broadband newlineintegrated services etc. can be modeled as communication network models. newlineCommunication network models play a major role for design and analysis of newlinecommunication systems. These models approximate the realistic situation more newlineaccurately by close prediction of the performance measures. A communication system is newlinemainly analyzed with the problem of data/voice transmission, packetization, channel newlinecapacity assignment, bandwidth allocation, routing, statistical multiplexing, controlling newlineSynopsis of the thesis newlineStudy on two node tandem communication network models with feedback under Dynamic newlineBandwidth Allocation having homogeneous and non homogeneous Poisson arrivals newline newline
