Abstract: | Frequency doubling in a nonlinear optical crystal is a commonly newlineused technique for generating coherent radiation in a frequency regime where newlinedirect laser sources do not exist Crystals with high conversion efficiencies newlinefor second harmonic generation are desirable in various fields and the search newlinefor crystals with good frequency conversion properties continues to this day newlineThe development of highly efficient nonlinear crystal for visible and newlineultraviolet regions is extremely important for both laser spectroscopy and newlinelaser processing Ferroelectrics are the class of materials which offers newlinepossibilities for the observation of genuine critical phenomena near the transition newlinetemperature Tc They have been used in applications such as IR detectors newlinememory devices etc The research about hydrogen bonded soft ferroelectric newlinematerials becomes more desirable because of their significance of their related newlinephenomena of science and technological importance for the possible devices newlineIn organometallic complexes polarizable organic molecules are newlinestoichiometrically bound within inorganic host and the metal ligand bonding newlineis expected to display large molecular hyperpolarizability because of the newlinetransfer of electron density between the metal atom and the conjugated ligand newlinesystem The formation of coordinate bonds in the molecule can increase the newlineintermolecular interactions therefore the thermo mechanical properties of newlineorganometallic crystals are considerably improved due to coordination The newlineapplication of organometllics was realized recently newline newline |
