Abstract: The present study is the first documentation of the fish faunal diversity in Thotapalli and Gottabarrage newlinereservoirs of Nagavali and Vamsadhara rivers in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam districts respectively of newlineAndhra Pradesh state. The study was conducted for a period of two years i.e. June 2012 to May 2014. The newlineobservations of the study showed the presence of 31species with the occurrence of 28 species in Thotapalli newlinereservoir and 26 species in Gottabarrage reservoir. The fish species belonged to the orders Cypriniformes, newlineSiluriformes, Perciformes, Synbranchiformes, Osteoglossiformes and Anguilliformes. The status of each newlinespecies of fishes has been listed out as per IUCN (2014.3) and CAMP (1998). newline
