Abstract: Man-machine interface is a highly sought after research area since last three decades. It newlineis one of those research where there is a large gap in laboratory research and its practical newlinereal-life application. Though numerous studies are presented and show quite good achievements, newlinethey show less relevance when tried out of a controlled laboratory environment in newlinepractical, real-life applications. Despite the practical importance of the problem, no significant newlinesolutions can be found to help that group of differently-abled population which can t newlineoperate muscular channel in their activities of daily living. newlineA massive body of academic literature, however, can be found that covers different aspects newlineof signal treatment, feature extraction, classification, including new processing algorithms newlinefor harnessing useful information from a human mind. Some studies concentrated on newlineHuman-Computer communication via cursor control, virtual keyboards, gesture recognition, newlineand even some robot and wheelchair control. However, the practical aspects such as wearability, newlinesustainability, affordability, user-friendliness, operator ease, and robustness are not newlinefully addressed. Moreover, quantitative aspects such as accuracy, system response time, and newlineinformation transfer rate need further improvement. newlineIn light of the above discussion about various concerns and issues relevant to real-life newlineMan-Machine Interface systems, the research problem identified for the proposed work can newlinebe summarized as: It is essential to develop a GUI-free interface that would offer the user with newlinea higher operational Independence while controlling the MMI enablement devices. Apart from newlinebeing accurate and responsive, it should be user-friendly, robust, and affordable. Most importantly, newlinea navigation application in terms of an MMI controlled wheelchair must be developed to newlinefulfill the mobility needs of the differently-abled and elderly population.quot newlineIn this thesis, we propose a four-dimensional approach for development, testing, analysis, newlineand validation of Electrooculograph
