Abstract

The goals of agricultural extension includes transferring information from newlineglobal knowledge base and from local research to farmers considering their needs and newlineinterests. It is important for the extension educators and extension service providers to newlineknow the various concepts of extension before dealing with the clients so that newlineeffective information dissemination takes place. The understanding regarding the newlineprinciples, objectives and dimensions of extension helps the extension educationists newlineand extension-service providers to deal with the various kinds of situations. It is newlinealways a matter of discussion that whether the extension agents including extension newlineeducators and extension service providers are well-versed with the extension concepts newlineor any kind of dilemma exists in their minds. In order to clarify this, there is a need to newlineunderstand their attitude regarding the understanding of these concepts and up to what newlineextent this attitude differs in extension educators and extension service providers. The newlinepresent study is an effort to know theattitude of extension educators and extension newlineservice providers regarding the concepts of extension education and how their attitude newlinediffers regarding this. Majority of extension service providers hada favorable attitude newlineregarding the concepts of extension education and extension service providers from newlinethe crop-science group showed a difference in their attitude when compared to newlineextension educators regarding the objectives and principles of extension education. newline
