dc.description.abstract | The present study is mainly aimed at studying the role of work-family balance as predictor of employee engagement. The current exploration tries to examine the relationship of the dimensions of work-family balance (work-family conflict and work-family facilitation) and employee engagement as well. Similarly, impact of work-to-family conflcit, family-to-work conflcit, work-to-family facilitation and family-to-work facilitation was also explored. Another major objective of the study was to develop work-family balance scale. Present study examined the validity of Utrecht work engagement scale (UWES) in organised apparel retail sector in India. Lastly, this study examined the occurrence of perceptual difference in study variables (work family balance and employee engagement) due to group diffreneces (gender, age, marital status, family structure and job hierarchy level). newline | |
