Abstract: Prostate Cancer (PCa) is one among the major health problems globally. It causes 1 in 6 newlinedeaths in males worldwide (Jemal et al., 2005). In India, the incidences of PCa are highest in newlinemetro cities like Delhi, Kolkatta, Pune, Mumbai, Banglore, and Chennai (Jain et al., 2014). newlineAndrogens play a major role in the development and growth of the prostate gland and in the newlineprogression of PCa (Ruizeveld et al., 1994). Androgens bind to Androgen Receptor (AR), a newlineligand-dependent transcription factor to regulate androgen signaling. In absence of androgen, newlineAR reamins in complex with Heat shock proteins (HSPs), HSP90 and HSP70 and other newlinemolecular chaperones in the cytoplasm of cell (Smith and Toft., 2008). Binding of androgen newlineto the AR promotes its conformation, that releases AR from a large complex of Heat shock newlineproteins (HSPs), dimerize, and allows it to translocate into the nucleus. Inside the nucleus, the newlineAR dimer binds to the Androgen response element (ARE) and stimulates the transcription of newlineAR target genes (Gobinet et al., 2002). newline
