Abstract: As we have entered the new millennium, we are experiencing recordbreaking newlineeconomic growth, rapid global expansion, and technological innovation. newlineMass customisation is penetrating within many industrial sectors ranking from newlineproducts to services such as banking and clothing. This research analyses and newlinediscusses the changes that might occur in the implementation of mass customisation newlinein the clothing industry. It describes what might be tomorrow s clothing habits and newlinestyle of shopping in a new environment. Finally it analyses the impact of mass newlinecustomisation within the clothing industry and the effect it has on market newlineparticipants. newlineNow the customer is the reference, with respect to which, the industry has to produce newlineand market their product, if they wish to survive in this transient market conditions. newlineThe purpose of this research is to examine apparel merchandising issues associated newlinewith mass customization. A questionnaire is developed to explore preferences for newlinemass customization product, process, and place that have the potential of affecting newlinesuccess of a mass customization program. The questionnaire is administered to a newlineconvenience sample of over 200 respondents of textile and apparel industries. Data newlinewere analysed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, regression, correlation and newlinereliability analysis by SPSS. Successful mass customization of apparel at retail is newlinedependent on identification of appropriate dimensions of product, process, and place. newlineOur implications address merchandising issues associated with customer newlineinvolvement in customizing design and fit of apparel products in retail store settings. newlineWe use some hypothesis for analysing few factors affected mass customization or newlinemass customization affected these factors based on literature. newlineThere is a frequent change of customers needs and wants . As a result of these and newlineother factors mass customization as a production strategy has drawn great attention newlinefrom scholars in various fields in the recent years.
