Abstract: | newline The present thesis contains seven chapters. This thesis includes the newlineintroduction of Simulation Modelling and stepwise approach to create Simulation newlineModels. Chapter 1 contains a brief description of Queuing Modelling. It also newlineincludes discussion of properties of M/M/1 Model, M/M/C Model and M/Ek/1 newlineModel with their performance measures like length of waiting queue, waiting time newlinein the queue before service, server utilization etc. The major attributes and newlineimportance of Service Organizations have also discussed in this chapter. Some newlineservice Organizations where long waiting queues are formed for receiving services newlineare put in this chapter. Various Organizations included in discussion whose newlineworking and attributes are the part of this chapter are Take Away Restaurant, newlineMaintenance Service Centre, CNG pump Station and Gold Loan Department of newlineBank. Simulation Modelling is an important tool to evaluate the performance of newlineany Service organization in the light of Queuing theory. newlineIn this thesis a brief survey of existing literature related to this research newlinework and its development is discussed. newlineA prototype model of a Take Away Restaurant has been developed in the newlinepresented work, using step by step approach of Simulation Modelling in the light newlineof Queuing Modelling. Then with the help of M/M/1 Queuing model various newlineperformance measures were calculated for the evaluation of current model. The newlineprofit and loss of current system is evaluated graphically also. On the basis of newlineshortcomings noticed in the current system, solutions with their impact on newlinefinancial conditions are discussed. The graphical representations of profit and loss newlineas per introduced solutions are also shown. newlineThe thesis deal with the emerging problem of demand of fast maintenance newlineservice for the electrical and electronic devices as people are very much dependent newlineon these devices. Due to the heavy demand of maintenance service, the simulation newlinemodel of service centre after visiting and observing many service centres has newlinecreated. Then test these centres |
