Abstract: In Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET), routing is a challenging task due to the unpredictable changes in the network topology and absence of any centralized control. This routing has led to development of several different routing protocols for MANET. Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) is based on optimization of link state protocol and performs effectively for large and dense Ad-hoc network by means of Multi Point Relays (MPR), flooding technique which reduces the topology of broadcast packets. Real-time applications over Ad hoc wireless networks have strict Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. High delivery rates of data packets and low end-to-end delays are among the requirements. The topology of an Ad hoc network varies dynamically due to either movement of mobile devices or depletion of battery power. QoS based routing is a routing mechanism under which paths are determined based on some knowledge of resource availability. In this research we take challenges of QoS routing in Ad hoc network and will give a protocol which enhances the QoS for the data transfer from a source to a destination in Ad hoc network. We discuss the challenges and security issues in MANET and the applicability of one of the existing routing schemes (OLSR) on these networks in the forthcoming sections. Clustering is the process of grouping data into clusters, where objects within each cluster have high similarity, but are dissimilar to the objects in other clusters. Here we have used soft computing technique for the selection of nodes to give correct means of transmission of data. Initially the nodes are clustered using Hybrid K means algorithm. Once the clustering is done, path is formed based on OLSR. The routing is done by optimizing the nodes with the aid of Hybrid Genetic algorithm (GA). The implementation is done in ns-3 platform and the results obtained are compared with various existing methods to prove the efficiency of our proposed technique. The data transmission in proposed method (OLSR) occurs with maximum da
