Abstract: | ABSTRACT newline newlineThe education quality of any state is recognized or checked by its higher education institutions in terms of quality leading and services provided by the institution to the faculty and staff. Leading in higher education quality services is the prime objective of the Government of any state and country. Therefore, in present investigations attempts have been made to check the quality of knowledge resource centres/ libraries especially in accredited institutions of Rajasthan. In this process, a survey was made on higher education institutions of Rajasthan and it was found that a total of 17 universities and 245 colleges are NAAC accredited till January, 2018. The process starts with the preparation of the questionnaire having quality questions about the NAAC status/cycle, infrastructure, facilities, and sitting, etc. all these parameters were related to check the quality of services provided by the NAAC accredited higher education institutions. Further, five universities (A, B and C NAAC Accredited) and five-five colleges each from NAAC A, B, and C grade respectively. Out of the colleges and universities, sixty percent support in terms of data sharing was provided for my thesis work. Very less support was provided by Government institutions due to some confidential reasons. Some personal observations were also made during the visit to various libraries. The data analysis of questionnaires and statistical analysis performed and it was concluded that NAAC accredited institutions are doing very well in terms of enhancement of the size of library space, software purchase, and journal purchase, etc. Due to some mandatory requirements of the NAAC visit, the institutions are upgrading the quality services to the students. Library and resource centre s are prime important for any higher education institution. These reflect the knowledge centre s of the state. The library is the heart and lifeline of any institution.
