Abstract: Graphene, a single layered two dimensional material has attracted significant attention among the scientific world due to its peculiar features. The present work deals with the preparation, characterization and efficient utilization of graphene based nanostructures (Nitrogen doped graphene quantum dots, RGO/CdS, RGO/WO3, g-C3N4/CeO2) for the fluorescence sensing and visible light mediated degradation of harmful pollutants. newline
