Abstract

The thesis Right to Food and Prevention of Food Wastage: A Socio-Legal Study was a research work which highlights the issue of food wastage, particularly in social gatherings. The thesis discusses the problem from national as well as international perspective. It covers various initiatives taken by United Nations globally and as well in India. Primary data was collected to make it more authentic. Questionnaires were formulated and data was collected by 300 respondents (General Public) and 50 Respondents (Banquet Hall owners, Caterers). The work was completed by giving various suggestions to put a check on food wastage at social gathering. newline
