The broadcasting nature of the wireless network makes it more vulnerable to various attacks as compared to wired network. In the thesis following three attacks are studied: i) De-authentication attack, ii) Man in the Middle Attack and iii) Replay attack. For detecting theses attacks proposed algorithms use these parameters: i) Reason Code ii) MAC timestamp iii) packet sequence number iv) packet signal strength v) Protocol type vi) Nature of the frame vii) Frames are sent to multiple nodes viii) Number of retransmitted packets ix) Number of duplicate ACK and x) Number of TCP spurious retransmitted packet. All suggested algorithms increase the accuracy rate of detecting these attacks and reduce the false positive rates. newlineSuggested solutions can be further improved by considering following points: i) detecting location of the attacker and blocking the attacker ii) implementing solution for detecting Replay attack in active mode. newline newline
