dc.description.abstract | The Heterogeneous Networks are envisaged to have substantial gain in terms of the newlinecapacity and performance. A mobile user/device will have better coverage and QoS where it is newlineneeded the most. It enables a more uniform user experience throughout the network systems newlinesuch as WLAN, WWAN, WMAN, WPAN etc. and are scalable and cost effective. IT newlineinfrastructure is characterized by a high level of heterogeneity in term of network, devices, newlineapplication and service providers. Application diversity is witnessed in terms of Voice over IP newline(VoIP), Live streaming, voice / video conferencing, remote access other general applications. newlineReports and recent trends show that there will be more than 75.44 billion connected devices by newlinethe year 2025 through IoT. This will definitely increase the number of user/devices newlineexponentially. To cater such rapid proliferations in the connected devices one need to have most newlinepragmatic technologies for such increased data traffic with all available networks forming a newlinegroup referred as heterogeneous network. Taking this into consideration the objective of any newlinestudy of research on heterogeneous networks is to provide user access to bandwidth intensive newlinereal time applications such as mobile gaming and video. The challenges faced due to bandwidth newlineintensive real time applications is need of increasing data traffic, delivering of higher capacity newlineand reduced cost of service. newlineThrough 5G we are moving to more sophisticated and smarter technology. The nextgeneration mobile network entails a Wi-Fi technology, which offers contiguous and consistent newlinecoverage by a convergence of various networks (wireless and wired) called as heterogeneous newlinenetwork. Coexistence of multiple network is the basic structure of telecom and IT Industry, this newlineleads to an open market among the user to chose its service providers. To survive in the market, newlinetelecom operators are investing heavily to retain their users other than acquiring new newlineusers/customers. Further, they are decreasing profit margin, business will only expand as long as newlinea se | |
