Abstract: Introduction: Everest group defines Impact sourcing, a subset of IT Outsourcing, as socially newlineresponsible business process outsourcing that enables global enterprises to improve business newlineoutcomes by hiring and providing career development opportunities to people who generally newlinehave limited employment prospects . The sector is expected to experience significant growth newlinedue to Government of India s initiatives as well as current market dynamics like - Urban BPOs newlinemoving up the service value chain offering Digital technology lead services, which gives a newlinehuge opportunity for Rural BPOs to take up lower end tasks. However, the IS employees due newlineto their under privileged background have a different set of needs compared to their urban newlinecounterparts. The newlinestudy investigates the research question - Do ISSPs deliver Sustainable Livelihoods and newlineSustainable jobs to its Employees in rural area and do they impact the lives of communities newlinearound? newline newlinePrimary Objectives: The study has the following key Objectives: newline1. To understand if a job at an ISSP Provides sustainable livelihoods for its employees newline2. To assess if Employee commitment, Employee satisfaction and Employee engagement newlinehave any effect on Organisational performance in ISSPs newline3. To understand if CSR activities by an ISSP has any influence on Employee commitment newline4. To study if organizational performance and sustainable livelihood factors affect the newlineSustenance of a job in an ISSP newline newlinexx newline newlineResearch Methods newline newlineMixed research design has been used in the study, which comprises of qualitative and newlinequantitative methods and are administered sequentially. A qualitative approach has been used newlinefor the same through focused interview. Next, the research aims at understanding the factors newlineinfluencing Sustainable Jobs through Sustainable livelihoods, Employee engagement, newlineOrganisational commitment and organisational performance. newline newlineStudy Results: newlineISSPs are setup basically with an intention to provide Sustainable livelihood to vulnerable newlinecommunities through employment while delivering commercial value too. Data analysis based newlineon Employee perceptions supports this argument. The statistical tests done indicated that newlineEmployee Satisfaction, Employee Engagement and Employee commitment do influence newlineOrganisational performance positively. Employees perceive that CSR variables help newlineEmployees in building a better brand, trust and identity for the ISSP as well as for themselves newlinein the eyes of the community, which in turn, lead to better employee retention and performance. newline newlineBased on the SEM and CATPCA model, on variables of a ISSP career, a conceptual empirical newlineframework of Career Engagement Score was developed and tested using the survey data newlinecollected which reflected that the concept can be used as a tool to Engage the current employees newlinebetter and also attract the right talent. newline
