The Mathematical Model is nothing but a proposal of laws written down in newlinemathematical language. Such formulation is Precise and straight forward, which newlinegives it multiple advantages over the verbal formulation. Firstly, it avoids newlinemisunderstanding arising from differences in subjective interpretations. newlineSecondly, the mathematical script allows and quantitative verification of the newlinehypothesis. Thirdly, may be the most important, is the possibility of prediction. newlineWhen studying models, it is helpful to identify broad categories of models. newlineClassification of individual models into these categories tells us immediately newlinesome of the essentials of their structure. One division between models is based on newlinethe type of outcome they predict. Deterministic models ignore random variation, newlineand so always predict the same outcome from a given starting point. On the other newlinehand, the model may be more statistical in nature and so many predict the newlinedistribution of possible outcomes.
