dc.description.abstractTo achieve the supreme result, which is NibbÈna, mind development newlineis necessary to be completely done through SÊla-sikkhÈ (morality), newlineSamÈdhi-sikkhÈ (concentration) and PaÒÒÈ-sikkhÈ (wisdom). Because these newlinethree sikkhÈs can make free the mind from the three levels of defilements; newlinethe level of transgression (vÊtikkama kilesÈ) - such as killing, cheating, newlinestealing, robbing, engaging in sexual misbehavior, raping, causing troubled newlineand broken families, telling lies, back-biting, uttering harsh words, and newlinetalking nonsense, taking intoxicants or other kinds of harmful drugs, etc., newlinethe level of manifestation (pariyuÔÔhÈna kilesÈ) - such as craving for others newlineproperty, harbouring the harmful thought, holding wrong views, etc., and newlinethe level of latent tendency (anusaya-kilesÈ) - greed (lobha), hatred (dosa) newlineand delusion (moha), lying dormant in the mental continuum.
