Abstract: Organic/Flexible electronics applications have been widely commercialized, mostly in display (e.g., smart phone displays, organic light emitting diodes), photovoltaic (solar cell, lasers), and transistor technologies (organic field effect transistors). Use of organic materials to build these devices may offer a more sustainable, eco-friendly and affordable approach to grow the electronic world as compared to their inorganic counterparts. Most of these devices require integration of organic/polymeric interlayers that can be prepared by easy fabrication methods such as electrostatic spraying, dip coating and spin coating as compared to inorganic/ceramic materials requiring complex fabrication techniques. Also, reliability and performance of these organic electronics devices depend on their surface circumstances. newlineIn view of the above, the whole work is based on the synthesis and characterization of polymer-based materials and their applications in organic electronic devices. The main objective of this PhD work is Synthesis and Characterization of Polymer Blends and Polymer Nanocomposites for organic electronic devices . Synthesis of polymer nanocomposites Se80Te15Bi5/PVA (PNCs), polymer blends (PEG-PVA) and device fabrication using these organic materials have been reported. MPS structure has been fabricated using synthesized PEG-PVA blend as an organic interfacial dielectric layer. Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) and memory device have been fabricated using Se80Te15Bi5/PVA PNCs as an active layer. Improvement in the structural, optical, dielectric and electrical properties of the polymer PVA with the addition of another polymer PEG and incorporation of chalcogenide glass Se80Te15Bi5 have been investigated. Simultaneously improvement in the characteristics of fabricated devices has been reported as compared to their inorganic counterparts. newlinePolymer blends of different wt% of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) in Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) has been synthesized. Similarly, polymer nanocomposites (PNCs), with a different weig
