dc.description.abstract | The work embodied in the thesis entitled Synthesis and Characterization of New Antimicrobial Conjugates and Catalytic Activity of Pb(II) Salts has been divided into six chapters. A review on recent developments of benzothiazole derivatives is described in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 deals with synthesis of new 1,2,3-triazole linked chalcone and flavone conjugates and evaluation of antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities. Design, synthesis and antibacterial evaluation of ciprofloxacin tethered bis-1,2,3-triazole conjugates is discussed in Chapter 3. A synthetic method of 5-substituted 1H-tetrazoles via Pb(II) salts catalyzed [3+2] cycloaddition of nitriles and sodium azide is described in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 describes X-ray crystallographic studies of aniline, 4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline, chalcone, flavone and benzothiazole derivatives. Synthesis, characterization and DFT studies of 2-aminobenzothiazole and aniline derivatives are described in Chapter 6 newline | |
