Abstract: | Akika Bhasma and Akika Pisti were prepared according to Ayurved Saar newlineSangrah Shodhna Marna Prakarna Page No108-109. newlineand#61656; Nirvapa is the one of the best methods of shodhna for minerals and newlinemetals which is hard in nature. newlineand#61656; During shodhna of Akika by Triphla Kvatha 1.7% weight loss was newlineobserved. newlineand#61656; During the preparation of Akika Pisti 0.88% weight gain was observed. newlineand#61656; Reduction in the size of particles on trituration subsequently after each newlinelavigation Pisti passed through 200 no. seive. newlineand#61656; During the preparation of Akika Bhasma 15.1% loss was observed. newlineand#61656; Reduction in the size of particles on heating subsequently after each newlineputa, bhasma passed through 200no.seive. newlineand#61656; For both Akika Pisti and Akika bhsma prepration Standard Operating newlineProcedure were established. newlineand#61656; Raw material of procured drug complies the chemical and physical tests newlineincluding heavy metals described in API Vol VII for Akika. newlineand#61656; Macroscopic and Physico-chemical of Akika Bhasma and Akika Pisti newlineanalysis were carried. newlineand#61656; FTIR studies shows Akika bhasma and Akika Pisti have almost same newlinebounds the probable bound present in the compounds are Alcohols, newlinePhenols, Alkanes, carboxylic acids, 10Amines,Aliphatic amines, Alkyl newlinehalides, esters, ethers, Aromatics,10,20 amines, Alkenes, Alkynes newlineand#61656; Both FTIR spectra exhibited several well-defined peaks at 463, 515, newline693, 778, 797, 1083, 1164, 1879, 2850, 2917, and 3421 cm-1. The newlineappearance of peaks at 463, 515, 693, 778, 797 cm-1 are related with the newlineformation of several Metal-oxide bonds. From the EDS it is clear that newlinethe material is composed of several metals and oxygen peaks in high newlinepercentage, so possibility of forming metal-oxygen bonds cannot be newlineavoided. newline |
