dc.description.abstractCodariocalyx motorius root has a history of medicinal value and is newlinewidely used as an antidote, cardiac-tonic and wound healing agent in Indian system newlineof medicine. In this study, for the first time, the antioxidant, anti-apoptotic and antidiabetic newlineproperties of phenolic extract from C. motorius roots were investigated newlineusing in vitro and in vivo models. Preliminary studies revealed that C. motorius roots newlineare rich in phenolic compounds that appear to be capable of preventing many newlinediseases. Hence the phenolic extract from C. motorius roots (CMRt) was used for newlinethis study newline
