dc.description.abstractPsoriasis is the oldest recorded skin disease. It is one of the most newlineintriguing and perplexing disorder of skin. It is a common, chronic, non newlineinfectious, genetically determined and immune mediated disease. It affects up newlineto 2.5% of the world s population, although people with very mild symptoms newlinemay not be aware that they have it. It can affect a person s quality of life. newlineLiving with this life long condition can be physically and emotionally newlinechallenging. Mandal kushtha (Psoriasis) creates a cosmetic problem that newlinegenerates inferiority complex in the affected person. Thus, it is a great psychosocial newlineproblem of the present period. So, it causes more psychological stress newlineand trauma along with physical disability. For this study newlineIndigenous lepa, prepared by combination of herbomineral drugs, described in newlinevarious Ayurvedic texts in the management of skin diseases, Navak Kashaya newlinedescribed in Yogratnakar Kushtha chikitsa Quath reference and Sanshodhan newlinekarma (vaman and virechan karma) was selected. Overall result of the trial drug is concerned, Group A showed newline73.69% improvement, Group B showed 89.48% improvement and Group newlineC showed 94.45% improvement in terms of symptomatology and newlineinvestigations. So the result of Group C was much better in comparison to newlinethe results of Group B and Group A. Therefore, to obtain best result, newlinecombined therapy (Sanshodhan karma, Indigenous lepa and Navak newlineKashaya Quath) should be employed. newline
