Abstract: quotThe purpose of this research is to identify potential herbal adulteration newlinewhich is done in erectile dysfunction herbal formulations and Anti-diabetic herbal newlineformulation. the aim of research work is to develop a method which can detect newlineadulterants present in formulation by using simple chemical tests. The developed newlinemethod may be helpful by making people aware of various kinds of adulteration newlinewhich are done in the formulation and in this way, may help in safe guarding life newlineand also preventing from any kind of severe side effects occurring in the body. newlineResearch involves qualitative identification of adulterants with help of simple newlinechemical test and quantitation of adulterants with the help of sophisticated newlineinstruments. For Erectile Dysfunction herbal formulation, Qualitative estimation newlinewas done to prove that presence of adulterants can be detected with help of newlinesimple chemical tests. Also, an identification scheme was developed which had steps for identification and determination of adulteration step by step. With the newlinehelp of test for steroids, testosterone was identified qualitatively. Also Test for Phenyl Ether Group, Sulphonamide, Pyrimidine ring, Tertiary Amine, Piperazine newlinering proved presence of synthetic PDE-5 inhibitors in the herbal formulation newline(sildenafil and vardenafil). Further for identification of tadalafil was done with newlinehelp of fluorescence detection test. The following chemical tests proved that with newlinehelp of basic chemicals test adulteration can be identified. Also, Similar kind of newlinedetermination of adulterants in anti-diabetic was found out qualitatively with help newlineof TLC and quantification was done with the help of HPLC and GCMS instruments.quot newline
