dc.description.abstractA mobile ad hoc network MANET consists of various mobile nodes that can communicate with each other without any fixed infrastructure The nodes in a MANET operate with batteries and move freely Thus a node drains its battery and moves away without giving any information to its cooperative nodes A route in the MANET consists of multiple links in series so the lifetime of the network depends on the lifetime of the wireless link and the lifetime of the nodes The nodes in this network are like the nodes in a Peer to Peer P2P system in file sharing Efficient and trustworthy file querying is important to the overall performance of Peer to Peer P2P file sharing systems The main objective of this thesis is to formulate a method for efficient file sharing in a P2P MANET environment This research proposes a new framework to improve efficiency in file sharing The proposed work is divided into four phases Energy Efficient Clustering Mechanism using Firefly Fuzzy Algorithm EECM FFA Energy Efficient Distributed Routing Algorithm EEDRA Security Trust Model and Energy Efficient File Sharing EEFS In the first phase an Energy Efficient Clustering Mechanism EECM with Firefly algorithm and Fuzzy logic is proposed Firefly algorithm is best suited for optimization problems. newline
