The important constituents in concrete are aggregates. Aggregates are off two types, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. It is important to find alternate aggregates that can replace river sand and conventional aggregate thus protecting the natural resource. If these aggregates come from materials considered as wastes it is an additional benefit. In general, any kind of waste can be used for finding alternative material, so that it may lead to dual advantages. One of the advantages is the use of alternative material and the other is that waste can be disposed of. This research focused on the evaluation of performance of quarry dust (QD) as fine aggregate and coconut shell (CS) as coarse aggregate in the production of coconut shell concrete (CSC). In general, QD has not been used in the manufacture of CSC. Hence the information on the effect of QD as fine aggregate in CSC properties is limited. Therefore this study is proposed to develop QD used concrete using CS as coarse aggregate and analyse their properties. Hence, the problem statement is to examine the mechanical, durability properties, shrinkage at plastic state and study on deflection characteristics of CSC produced with QD newline
