The under thrusting of rock masses and collision of tectonic blocks are newlinethe major factors for the occurrence of frequent earthquake in N-E India. Many of the newlineactive faults are extended transversely in the quaternary regions which are newlinetectonically active and responsible for seismic activity in Himalayan foothills region. newlineThe earthquake distribution shows that the Himalayan region faced many numbers of newlineearthquakes and releases sub-surface energy in the past while foothill regions have newlinenot produced any significant earthquake in recent time. Even, cites/towns are newlineexponentially expanding in Himalaya and its foothill regions. As a result, several newlineresources may get damage, buildings may collapse and life may suffer during seismic newlineactivity. Hence, it requires to quantify the sub-surface energy and its relation with newlinerecent tectonics movement which will help to identify the active tectonic zone where newlinethe excess energy is existing in the sub-surface without inducing any earthquake. So, newlinethe objectives of the present research is to analyze the significance of Active newlineTectonics and Seismic Energy Anomaly for earthquake hazard Study and to develop newlineGeoinformatic based customized information Tool with web based application for newlinevisualization of seismic information newline
