Abstract: | Food Delivery is a service that has emerged into to a global money minting business model. If a firm understands the importance of this service and offer a differentiated service, then that firm would have an advantage over its competitors in satisfying and attracting more customers. Similarly, The Mobile Food Delivery Aggregator (MFDA) app, a service-based technology product has been a trending business model with lots of buzz in the market. According to FCCI report, food delivery emerged in 2012 in India. Food Panda pioneered the model in India and later Swiggy in 2014. According to the report, MFDA app is one of the drivers of the growth in restaurant business. newlineThe emergence of the Mobile Food Delivery Aggregator (MFDA) app has changed the way the restaurant business has been functioning. Earlier, there had not been a channel of delivery or business channel through smart phones. On call Delivery was a conventional delivery model which was part of the restaurant business as an add-on service to satisfy the consumers. Whereas, on emergence of MFDA app, the hotel industries have created a new channel to serve the consumers. They engage much with these virtual customers who connect with them through the aggregator apps. Restaurants have created a new service desk to cater only to the virtual customers who connect with them through the app newline |
