Enhancing the Learning of Bloom s Taxonomy Using Computer Assisted Instruction among B Ed Trainees in Thiruvannamalai District

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a computer package for Bloom s newlineTaxonomy of Educational objectives in the B.Ed. curriculum and check whether newlinethere is a relationship between Brain dominance, Learning style and Computer newlineAssisted instruction. The samples were B.Ed. teacher trainees from Suraj College newlineof Education, Melathangal , Thiruvannamalai district. The tools used in the present newlinestudy are Computer package for Bloom s Taxonomy and Achievement Test for newlineBloom s Taxonomy developed by the investigator, Brain dominance inventory by newlineDr.Annaraja and Learning style inventory by Grash and Reichman. The analyses used newlinein the study are, percentile, descriptive, differential and correlation analysis. The newlinefindings of the study are: 1) 17.1% of B.Ed. trainees have high level of Achievement newlinein Bloom s Taxonomy, 59.6%, of B.Ed. trainees have average level and 23.9% newlinepercent of B.Ed. trainees attained low level it. 2) There are no remarkable variations newlineamong Pre -Test scores of the Experimental group and Control group of the B.Ed. newlinetrainees in their Achievement in Bloom s Taxonomy. There are remarkable newlinevariations among Post -Test values of group in Experiment and group in Control of newlineB.Ed. trainees in their Achievement in Bloom s Taxonomy newline
