Abstract: | The theory of solitons is attractive; it is wide and deep and it is intrinsically newlinebeautiful. Today soliton can be applied to even more areas of mathematics and newlinehas even more applications to the physical sciences. The soliton phenomena and newlineintegrable nonlinear equations represent an important and well established field newlineof modern physics, mathematical physics and applied mathematics. It has an newlineinteresting history and a promising future. Among these, the investigation of the newlinedynamics of magnetic materials is quite promising as the nonlinear effects are newlinepredominant in solids. With this in mind, we wish to investigate here the nature newlineof nonlinear excitations as solitons in three dimensional ferromagnetic systems newlinein detail. The thesis consists of eight chapters. In the first two chapters we newlinepresent a brief introduction to nonlinear dynamics, historical development of the newlineconcept of soliton, details of various techniques used for finding soliton solutions newlineand also the dynamics of magnetic systems. And the remaining chapter contains newlinethe results of the investigations carried out on the nonlinear dynamics of the newlinecontinuum three dimensional Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin systems and their newlinecorresponding nonlinear evolution equations in the semiclassical level. The spin newlinesystems studied here are characterized by models involving magnetic interactions newlinesuch as bilinear, biquadratic, inhomogeneous and anisotropic interactions. newline |
