dc.description.abstract | Web services grant a standard means of interoperating between software applications running on a variety of platforms and frameworks Service Oriented Computing SOC activates communication through web services to provide computing as a service for business applications in the Service Oriented Architecture SOA The service consumer or requester requests may include multiple related functionalities to be satisfied by the Web service and it needs Web service auto discovery and composition of the available atomic Web services To make Service Oriented Computing SOC successful finding a needed service to build a system directly depending on the collection of services is a critical challenge and needs a serious research focus Data mining is a widely used paradigm due to its special features and advantages Usually data mining concepts are applied on historical data to predict the business outcome and to find the associations and patterns but here for services it is applied on service descriptions service search and service registration details Existing UDDI registry based methods allow catalog based searching without control over the quality of registered services UDDI supports publishing and discovering data for web services but do not support the quality based retrieval newline | |
