Coconut shell concrete is a recently developed light weight concrete. The newlinecoconut shells were crushed by the mechanical device of 12.5 mm size and it is used newlineas coarse aggregate in the concrete. The other raw materials are same like cement as newlinebinding material and river sand as fine aggregate. The main objective of this study is newlinedeveloping fiber reinforced coconut shell light weight concrete. newlineTo develop fiber reinforced concrete, coconut fiber was used. The diameter newlineof fiber is 0.6 mm was found using SEM analysis. The different aspect ratio (16.67, newline33.33, 50, 66.67, 83.33, 100) and volume fraction (1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% and 6%) newlinewas used in the concrete to optimize the fiber in both conventional and coconut shell newlineconcrete. Fresh concrete properties and hardened concrete properties were found for newlinethe various aspect ratios and different volume fraction of fiber was determined for newlineboth type of concrete for both conventional and coconut shell concrete. From this newlinestudy the aspect ratio 83.33 and 66.67 are the optimum for conventional concrete newlineand coconut shell concrete with 3% volume fraction was the optimum for both newlineconventional and coconut shell concrete with respect to the results of compressive newlinestrength of this study newline
