Abstract: Fishes, an important source of protein for a large number of people around the whole world, also provides nutrition and employment and plays an important role in the economic growth of many countries. The present study was carried out from October 2015 to August 2019. A total number of 55 species were documented during the period which belongs to 06 orders, 19 families and 38 genera. Among 06 orders, 27 fish Species were under Cypriniformes; 12 fish Species were under Perciformes; 10 fishes belong to Siluriformes; 03 fishes species belong to Synbranchiformes; 02 fish Species belong to Osteoglossiformes whereas 01 fish species belong to Mugiliformes. The family-wise fish distribution shows that 24 fishes were belonging to Cyprinidae family; 04 Species belong to Channidae; 03 species of each belonging from Bagaridae, Mastacembelidae and Cichlidae; 02 Species of each belonging from Notoptridae, Cobitidae, Schelbeidae and Ambassidae whereas 01 species of each belongs to Belitoridae, Siluridae, Pangasidae, Claridae, Heteropneustidae, Sisoridae, Mugilidae, Gobiidae, Anabantidae and Belontidae. Genus wise distribution of fishes shows that there were 06 species belongs to genus Labeo; 04 species to genus Puntius and Channa ; 03 species belongs to genus Oreochromis; 02 species of each belongs to Cirrhina, Salmostoma, Mystus and Macrognathus and 01 species each belongs to Amblypharygodan, Catla, Barilius, Garra, Crosscheilius, Hypothalamichthys, Osteobrama, Cyprinus, Ctenopharygodon, Rasbora, Botia, Nemacheilus, Lepidocephalichthys, Glossogobius, Colisa, Chanda, Parambassis, Anabas, Sperata, Ailia, Clarias, Heteropneustus, Wallago, Clupisoma, Bagarius, Pangasius, Rhinomugil, Chitala, Notopterus and Mastacembelus. IUCN status of fishes shows that there were 46 Species belong to LC category; 06 Species from NT; 01 Species was in VU category; 01 Species from DD category and One Species has not been accessed by the IUCN.
