Cloud Computing is an emerging commercial infrastructure that promises to bridge the gap between scientists growing computational demands and their computing capabilities A scientist who wants to run HPC applications can obtain massive computing resources in the cloud quickly when it takes normally days or weeks under traditional business processes Cloud has the potential to provide their owners the benefits of an economy of scale and it becomes an alternative for scientists when compared to clusters grids and parallel production environments Performance wise scientific workloads often require High Performance Computing HPC or High Throughput Computing Capabilities HTC The Scientific Computing Community has started to focus on High Performance Computing newline
