Abstract: The rapid increase in urbanization, technological development in the construction industry and globalization of the economy demands various civil engineering structures and facility services in available areas. Nowadays, the construction activities on problematic soils are inevitable worldwide because of scarcity of available land with sound soil. Therefore, in most of the civil engineering works, it was impossible to select a suitable area which can meet the design demands without any rectification in subsoil. Thus the criteria of design and constructing the structures in natural soft ground have increased enormously and it needs proper attention. newlineAmong the various types the problematic soils are majority of soft clay and peat deposits which possess high compressibility and volumetric changes. Henceforth to utilize even such soils involving weak deposits, stabilization techniques can be used. Soil stabilization by admixture is one of the traditional and economical methods mainly to improve the geotechnical properties of problematic soils. It is essential to improve the strength and durability of soil by locally available or excessively abundant material to improvise soil stratum newline
