Abstract: The flow configuration of an incompressible viscous fluid on a permeable moving or oscillating vertical cylinder subject to variable surface temperature and concentration radiation magnetic field viscous dissipation homogeneous first order chemical reaction Soret and Dufour effects has been explored in this thesis The numerical solutions impart the theoretical view point of the modelInitially both cylinder and the fluid are maintained as stationary It is perceptible that the temperature and concentration are retained at free stream conditions As time increases the cylinder accelerates or oscillates in its own plane with a uniform velocity During this time period the surface of the cylinder encounters a change in its temperature and concentration which are the wall temperature and concentration An implicit finite difference method namely Crank Nicholson schemeis inducted to draw the solutions for the governing equations together with initialand boundary conditions newline
