dc.description.abstractIn todays world scenario due to the rapid change in technology and growing expectation of the customer with respect to physical availability of Goods and Services on time is a challenge to any organizations The key performance parameter of any service is the timely distribution of goods and service to the customer To provide the goods and services on time with a minimum cost a proper scheduling collection allocation and routing of vehicles is essential for the service providers When it comes to the collection and disposal of solid waste various scholarly publications discussed that routing of vehicles for collection and disposal of solid waste is an essential need This need is to be customised based on available resources It is observed from the literature review that for routing collection cost rearranging the collection points vehicle trips tracking and proposing various methods are some of the parameters that need to be considered This research emphases on the allocation of available resources vehicles and to route these resources in the shortest path without any rearrangement alteration of the collection points Scope boundary of research and research questions are defined for the development of suitable approach for collection and routing of available resources vehicles in a shortest path A detailed and qualitative primary data is collected which includes locations points of collection and its capacities type of vehicles used for collection and the vehicle capacities distance of travel by vehicles an outline of prevailing method of collection and disposal newline
