dc.description.abstractEducational Data Mining is poised to leverage an enormous amount of research for solving different educational problems in learning, cognition, and assessment. In the national context of the school education system, there is a big boost in the students enrollment but on the other side, the performance of the students is still unsatisfactory. Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has published detailed statistics about students drop-out rates in school education system. Analyzing the learning behavior of students is the requirement of the school education system before designing the performance improvement program for students. Moreover, early prediction of student performance also assists the management to take corrective action for better achievements of students. Many techniques are available under data mining to analyze and predict the performance of students. Based on the current scenario of the school education system, the solitary mining techniques based decision support system is neither enough to handle the large dataset nor to answer the complex queries. newline
