Abstract: | Chetan Bhagat is a popular writer in Indian writing English in the present period, he portrays newlinethe role of language in a cultural arena and exploration of identity in connection with the current newlinegeneration. Ultimately, his novels can be used as perfect reading materials in Indian teachinglearning newlinefield. The present age writers focus on the current issues and problems relating to a newlinereformed India of current scenario. Several subjects pertained to a modified cultural identity and newlineIndians in the worldwide arena. Multiculturalism and new woman, these are few of the fields that newlinenew Indian writers are exploring into. Chetan Bhagat, a new voice, came into the platform with newlinehis first novel. Five Point Someone in 2004, the young writer, and an alumni of IIT, Delhi, and newlineIIM, Ahmedabad, has made a place for himself in the Indian literary field by introducing an newlineaccurate quality to his depiction of the young group of the country. newlineHe is one of those writers in Indian English fiction, who rejoices and adores Indian youth newlineand is being renowned and hyped by Indian youth and old alike. Bhagat is a well-known newlinepersonality not only in India but also in foreign countries. He is a bright novelist and columnist. newlineChetan Bhagat is a promising novelist who thinks it his responsibility to guide the younger newlinegeneration to be active in India through writing novels. He is an attentive and focused writer, he newlineretains notes for every minute activities which happens in surroundings and he highlights current newlineburning matters of the society also a perpetual name in the arena of postmodern fiction.
