dc.description.abstract | Higher material removal rate along with high surface quality are main goals of the machining industry Grinding is very complex process and vital to many manufacturing process High surface quality and material removal rate are the main phenomena in grinding process The selection of the machining parameters is crucial for a better performance in the grinding process Increased material removal rate generally causes higher heat generation due higher energy flux at the machining zone The high heat affects the mechanical properties of the target material and the grits of the grinding wheel The dullness of the grit increases the grinding forces and affects the surface quality Hence coolant is needed to reduce the effects of heat generation wheel loading and heat transfer to the target material As a solution for this problem many manufacturing industries are using conventional coolants to control the rise in grinding zone temperature at the cutting area But on the other hand when considering the use of conventional coolant in grinding processes the two important aspects are the environmental pollution and biological problems to operators newline | |
