The tremendous growth of internet services and radical change in wireless devices plays a significant role in transforming wireless networks into a state of art technology in the network domain Today these technologies are being extensively used across the world for supporting the communication demand of end users Mobile Ad hoc Network MANET is one of the most promising fields of Wireless ad hoc network MANET is a set of nodes that can communicate with each other without the aid of any centralised station or even when there is lack in infrastructure It is a self configuring infrastructure less network and the nodes cooperate in a distributed manner The nodes of MANETs can act as routers or hosts for forwarding the packets to their destinations With the aid of MANETs the temporary networks can be implemented anywhere where there is little to no telecommunication infrastructure Because of its characteristics like scalability robustness ease of deployment self configuring nature MANET is suitable for many applications like emergency services tactical networks smart cities mobile conferencing etc newline
