Infilled frames are commonly provided with cement mortar interface. In newlinerecent times there is an evolving trend to use soft materials like cork, foam or viscoelastic newlinematerials at interface to prevent pre-strain due to vertical load transfer to the newlineinfill. The review of literature reveals that works carried out on the influence of newlineinterface materials other than cement mortar on the behaviour of infilled frames newlineunder static cyclic loading is scarce. newlineThe main aim of this investigation is to study the influence of lead, cork and newlinefoam when used at the interface of the infilled frames subjected to static cyclic newlineloading. This aim is further divided into finding the influence when the interface newlinematerials are individually used through testing of diagonally loaded square infilled newlineframes, when used in combination and different patterns on two dimensional two newlinebay three storeyed frames and possibility of using the findings to the problem of newlinetendency of torsional mode of the frame about its vertical axis by testing three newlinedimensional frames newline
