dc.description.abstractThe foremost ongoing research and most promising converter topologies in existing power electronics is the Z Source inverter for DC AC conversion with its interesting characteristics such as buck boost capability which works with single stage conversion This topology has the following advantages like shoot through state to boost the input voltage which improves the inverter reliability The Z source topology has prominent advantages and some disadvantages Apart from this topology the research was carried out in extended boost topologies ie Switched Inductor SL quasi Z Source Inverter which has the major merits of achieving high boost capability when compared to Z source inverter The system size and weight are considerably reduced with high power density and improved dependence between voltage gain and modulation index The switched in uctor quasi Z source inverter can be formed by the replacement of one or two inductors of the Z network with a switched inductor circuits Quasi Z source switched inductor multilevel inverter connected with multiple number of PV cells have been used in this research In this research work Field programmable gate array FPGA based pulse generation for pulse width modulation PWM and sine PWM SPWM are compared The SL quasi Z source cascaded multilevel inverter is integrated with FPGA controller Spartan 6E newline
