Abstract: | Rheumatoid arthritis RA is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by pain swollen and inflammation in the joints of the body which ultimately leads to joint erosion cartilage damage loss of mobility and joint deformity under severe conditions Based on the available literature sources on RA pathogenesis a broad spectrum of antirheumatic drugs are available in the market However the success rates in reducing the disease hardness are not in commendable achievement it fails to achieve complete remission and curing that informs the scientific community to hunt for novel drugs against this disease In this needful situation this study aims to target key pathogenic mechanisms of RA and also to identify the new novel compounds that may result in a future cure of RA As of now several researchers have done splendid research on the various mechanism of RA disease and from that the investigation of functional ion channel networks involved in the pathogenesis of RA is highlighted as a successful target to hunt for new drugs In support to mention ion channels as a drug target several new kinds of research add strength by showing abnormalities in ion channel genes leads to aberrant cytokine release in active RA To design or search for new novel drugs against the ion channels have many difficulties as specificity targeting complex mechanism and also the drug should not affect the normal body mechanism Considering these facts the extensive study has been performed on Rheumatoid Arthritis Ion Channel newline |
