Abstract: Nowadays power generation policies are experiencing several changes around the world including India This is due to the actions that had been taken for minimizing the power shortage and its related environment issues by penetrating Renewable Energy Sources RES for power generation The Generation Expansion Planning GEP is not only aiming to satisfy the demand but also to minimize the environmental emission and overall power generation cost So the power system planners require the best tools/software to model appropriate policies for integrating RES into the existing power generation system Integration of RES is much important because it is clean and vast Also it gives relief against the cost instability of coal and oil So as to maintain the balance between demand and supply a reliable generation expansion plan is required with huge RES Even though the huge incorporation of RES is expensive it makes the power generation clean First the multi-modal biometric recognition was developed for hand vein images using Fuzzy score level fusion technique. Dorsal and finger vein images of the hand are considered for biometric recognition Initially the input vein images are pre-processed in order to make the images more suitable for extracting the desired features The necessary features are extracted from dorsal hand vein images using an automatic thresholding technique and from finger vein images with the help of hyper analytic wavelet transform After extracting the essential features the test sample feature is matched with the features already stored in the database and score level fusion is performed using fuzzy logic during the recognition stage Due to the hyper analytic wavelet transform which is used to extract only the redundant area clearly the performance of the proposed system is improved to a great extent newline
