Abstract: | Structural testing plays an important role in software testing because it is cost effective and also reduces manual effort In the structural testing the active test data generation is the most sought out approach for generating test cases because the generation is guided by the execution of the code under test Structural testing is defined as the type of testing carried out to test the structure of the code Structural testing requires knowledge of the code and is mostly done by the developers It is heavily concerned with how system does it rather than the functionality of the system and provides more coverage to the testing The amount of completion attained by any set of test cases known as coverage reflects the percentage of exercised structural elements such as branches paths etc In traditional approach for conventional and cloud applications the feasible and infeasible paths of the code is not known to achieve the branch coverage or performance However in the proposed work structural testing is improved through an integrated approach for conventional and cloud applications and the test coverage is calculated in terms of structural or data flow units This research analyses and proposes methods for conventional and cloud applications in three various aspects Initially structural testing is carried out for conventional applications by proposing GASE concept Then Web application testing is done for Face book Shopping Cart and You Tube by developing NOPET algorithm and finally the testing is further enhanced for cloud applications by SAAS Multitenant testing in Cloud newline |
